Therapy with me offers you the opportunity to gain insight about aspects of yourself, why you feel the way you do and how you relate to other people. You are invited to think with me in a safe and confidential environment about yourself and your feelings (some of which you may not have previously thought about), whilst considering how these feelings may be linked to some of your earlier life experiences. By exploring these underlying feelings, which at times prove difficult to manage, you may develop a different understanding as to how these past experiences (and how you felt about them), have had an emotional impact on your current life and on your relationships.

This unique therapeutic relationship, once developed, allows you to feel listened to and understood by someone who cares, but remains neutral and non-judgmental. Your counselling experience with me, which may feel challenging at times, can also feel rewarding and prove hugely beneficial. It can allow for a shift in your understanding about yourself and in the way you might relate to key people, and can bring about a significant increase in your self confidence and self trust.

HOW IT WORKS
Your first one or two sessions will be initial consultation sessions during which we will discuss the psychotherapy process and where you can think about whether therapy with me is the right choice for you.

If you decide you would like to begin, we will arrange to meet weekly, on the same day at the same time. The session time is 50 minutes, both for the assessment session and for all future counselling sessions.

It is possible for you to have short-term (12 sessions) or long-term (open-ended) psychotherapy with me. Beginning with short-term and then extending to long-term is an option.

FEES AND TERMS
All initial consultations and psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration, held weekly on the same agreed day and time. Initial consultations are £135; weekly therapy sessions are £125.
